(a) Find the expression for Marginal Revenue.

(b) What is elasticity of demand ?

(c) Does relationship between AR, MR and elasticity hold in this case ?

Q3.(a) Explain the intermediate value theorem. 10

(b) Consider the following market demand and supply functions : 10 D(P) = 50 - 2P and 5600) 5- 10 + 7? Calculate equilibrium price and quantity.

Q4.Total Cost (TC) of firm is given as TC = 50+ 40 Q, while the demand function for a good is given as: 20 Q=50-0.5P, where P = Price and Q = Quantity. Determine output level at which profit is maximised. Also find the maximum profit.
