How to check your IGNOU admission status
After taking admission in IGNOU, the enrollment number sometimes takes a few weeks to become active. This tool lets you confirm whether your admission has been registered in the IGNOU system. Simply enter your 9 or 10 digit enrollment number and programme code (for example BCA, MPS, BAG or MAH) — the captcha is solved automatically and the details are fetched from the official portal for you.
Which details are shown?
- Name, enrollment number and the full name of the programme
- A live progress bar of admission validity (course period versus extension period)
- Year or semester-wise registered courses with pass/fail status from the grade card
- Which assignment is pending and its nearest submission window
- Assignment last date, examination form window and term-end examination dates
- When and for which session re-registration has to be done
- Regional Centre, study centre code and medium of instruction
If your record is not found, there is no need to worry — new admissions can take some time to reflect on the portal. You may also confirm the same with your Regional Centre.
Note: the result of this tool is shown in your registered medium of instruction — Hindi-medium students see the entire report in Hindi, and English-medium students see it in English.
