Q1.Explain any four of the following passages with reference to the context : 4×8=32
(i) “But no, he would not give in. Turning sharply, he walked toward the city’s gold phosphorescence. His fists were, s hut, his mouth set fast. H e would not take that direction to the darkness, to follow her. He walked towards the faintly humming, glowing town, quickly.”

(iv) Explain the central theme of poem ‘Journey of the Magi’.
