Q1.Write short notes of about 100 words each on the following : 6×5=30
(i) Describe the three essential components of critical thinking.
(ii) How is academic writing different from non-academic writing ?
(iii) With a suitable example, show how you can use a mind-map to express a concept or theme.
(iv) Why is feedback important in the writing process ?
(v) How is narrative writing different from expository writing ?
(vi) What aspects would you consider while writing a report of an interview ?
Q2.Write short essays of about 200 words each on the following : 4×10=40
(i) Discuss with suitable examples , the different stages of the process approach to writing.
(ii) Identify any four disciplines covered under the stream „Social Sciences‟. Discuss the general features of academic writing in such disciplines.
(iii) What is “Copyright Law” ?
(iv) Write a short essay on the structure of a business proposal.
