Note: This question paper has three Sections—
A, B and C. Attempt any two questions
each from Section A and Section B.
Section C is compulsory. The word limit
for 20 marks question is 400 words, for
10 marks question is 200 words and for
5 marks question it is 100 words.

Q1.Discuss the historical underpinnings of Urban Anthropology.
Q2.Provide a critical thesis of the Manchester school of thought.
Q3.Discuss the contribution of McKim Marriott in the study of urban villages.
Q4.Write short notes on any two of the following : 10+10
