Section—A
Q1.Write short notes on the following in 150 words each : 4×5=20
(a) Figures of speech
(b) Expository prose
(c) Differences between biography and autobiography
(d) Letter writing as a form of prose. [ 2 ]
Section—B
Q2.Answer any two of the following in about 300 words each : 2×10=20
(a) Write a detailed note on the life of Anne Frank during the holocaust.
(b) Describe how the natives, the English and Orwell himself reacted to the shooting of the elephant.
(c) Describe some of the personalities that Gandhi interacted with during his stay with Gokhale.

Note : Answer any three of the following questions
