Note :
(i) This question paper has three Sections,
A, B and C.
(ii) Attempt two questions each from
Sections A and B.
(iii) Section C is compulsory.
(iv) Word limit for 20 marks question is
400 words and for 10 marks it is 200
words.
Section–A
Q1.Discuss different inter -disciplinary visual methods and techniques used in visual research.
Q2.Provide an overview of the historical growth of visual anthropology. 20 [ 2 ]
Q3.Examine images and films as a valid medium of ethnographic research.
Q4.Write short notes on any two of the following : 10+10
(a) Theoretical analysis of images.
(b) Concept of representation.
(c) Application of visual anthropology in media.
Section–B
Q5.Examine the intersection between art and visual anthropology.
Q6.Discuss the important elements of ethnographic photography.
Q7.Discuss methodologies of stud ying ethnography with images.
Q8.Write short notes on any two of the following : 10+10
(i) The main attributes of ethnographic films.
(ii) Documentary films v/s ethnographic films.
(iii) Virtual ethnography.
Section–C
Q9.(a) Examine the ethnograph ic film, Witchcraft among the Azande. 10
